Here's a very short and to the point mic comparison of several popular guitar speaker mics: Mic Comparison Order of mics: 57 i5 e609silver atm650 md421-II I was very deliberate to ensure the same (as much as posible) mic position. no changes otherwise.

Here are mic comparisons in this order: R92 Trion7000 Fat Head R84 with these speakers: V30 Greenback The same reamp signal was sent for each clip. No amp changes and no post EQ. Albeit, a bit of bottom end compression post tracking... the same for all. Each mic was positioned 6.5...

It's somewhat like a 57 and i5 offspring. Not quite the bottom or scooped as the i5 and a bit smoother top with a tamed 57 bump. Nice for Cabs... I'm liking the voice. I haven't tried it on Snare yet. Soon... Tonally it seems to fit nicely between the i5 and 57. It'll stay on my cab for a while.
