Each mic is 6 inches from the speaker rim and with care to point them at the speaker center. See pics below.

I was very deliberate to ensure the same (as much as posible) mic position. no changes otherwise.

The same reamp signal was sent for each clip.
No amp changes and no post EQ. Albeit, a bit of bottom end compression post tracking... the same for all.
Each mic was positioned 6.5...
Here's six mics with two sets of clips. Clips are numbered and the clips with lc in the name have a bit of bottom compression.

FWIW: I happened to add an extra Tom beat or two at 55 sec in case you think what the heck.
It's somewhat like a 57 and i5 offspring. Not quite the bottom or scooped as the i5 and a bit smoother top with a tamed 57 bump.
Nice for Cabs... I'm liking the voice. I haven't tried it on Snare yet. Soon...
Tonally it seems to fit nicely between the i5 and 57. It'll stay on my cab for a while.
Is anyone aware of a Windows VST Clipping Plug-In with independent positive and negative adjustable clip levels
Also, a plugin to add DC offset.

There's been several posts lately about thickening the guitar tone from High Gain Amps post tracking.
The recommendations are all over the board and I generally view these as work arounds:

Here's my Schecter Elite-5 Bass thru the IKs SVX plugin. Excellent plugin, very versatile.
It's a fairly long clip as I run thru my pickups and then some wankage.
