    Tracks aren't bouncing ARGH! 424mkIII

Damn, I forgot how. Like roughmixing it to tape deck, then playing/recording from and with the tape right? Ps, when I tried to bounce it to the minidisc, it came out all garbled. Think I'll try it to my cassette deck next.

To click-track or not to click-track..

Hell no. That's what drummers are for. If you don't have a drummer it could be useful. When I recorded an album with my old band we went in and cranked it out in 2 3 hour sessions. We'd practiced once a week for a few months so we knew what we were doing, each track was one take, a couple were...

    High-pitched whine

Asking her to shut up while recordings never worked for me, but it's worth a try.:p

    Tracks aren't bouncing ARGH! 424mkIII

 In the words of Stan, "Cartman, what the hell are you talking about?!!" Computer stuff? I was thinking of just dumping it onto a handheld portable minidisc recorder I have, it's always recorded off a mic beautifully, and figure it will off a line patch as well, straight off the line...

Can't go wrong with a Shure...

Oh my FUCKING GOD!!!!:D That poor woman!!!:p I was all set to come on and say some shit (should I be watching my mouth here? My dad was a sailor what can I say?) like though I was kidding and talking out my ass I stand by my statement etc. (I mean, who's ever seen a low quality Shure unless...

    Oddball mike stories?

Lot more than that now, especially him being dead, and I've turned on (off?) a lot of chicks to him haha, been dumped by a few for it too, triple haha, good times. Heck led me to Antiseen, who introduce (literally) me to Rancid Vat, which let me record a single from Italy, be on a Hank Sr...

How are we storing and caring for our mics?

I store mine on a stand and take care of them by not using them for hammers.

    Oddball mike stories?

I own 2 Shure mikes, and they each have an odd history. The first one was used by GG Allin the first time I saw him live, and he busted it by bashing himself in the face with it, so I took it home for a souvenir. That was 20 years ago, but when I got it home my first future ex wife wouldn't let...

Uh, yeah, it wasn't meant to be taken that seriously.

What is the cheapest way to record in your opinion

Cheapest? Get 5 hours, or 8 if you can find a deal for $140 or so, or book a few hours with Stuart at Isotopia here in Austin. That guy will give you a rough mix soon as you lay down the tracks that will sound amazing. My ex guitar player had some black cube thing, don't know what the hell it...

    Tracks aren't bouncing ARGH! 424mkIII

That's the thing. Yes, all 3 tracks play through the stereo (quit laughing at me I'm low tech), that's how the switches are set, track 4 indicator blinks, but when I hit play, all three tracks play fine, just not on track 4. Thanks.

    Tracks aren't bouncing ARGH! 424mkIII

No headphones, running monitor line out to my stereo input so I can hear it. How do you do that, other than panning all the way to the right? Thanks. Don

    Tracks aren't bouncing ARGH! 424mkIII

Channel 4 works I recorded with it already. Maybe I could bounce from 4 to another track, I may be stuck having to dump them to a mini disk, then feeding them back through an input but I'd really like to get this figured out first.

Tried that too. Still no reading on track 4. I'm open to more suggestions.

    Tracks aren't bouncing ARGH! 424mkIII

Followed each step in the manual for bouncing tracks, and during tape playback nothing is showing on the indicator for track 4. Am attempting to put tracks 1-3 to free up some tracks, and since that's the example given in the manual, I tried it. I recorded tracks 1-3 using the direct line...
