How come when I monitor on Cool Edit and my meters are peaking, but when I burn the wave onto a CD the volume is really low. I'm not the only one to have this problem because some of my friends are complaining of the same thing. What are we doing wrong????

I've read all about the new Mackie MDR24/96 but no one I've talked to can find out when exactly it ships. I want one NOW. Does anybody know?

I am considering buying 2 ADAT LX 20's but I am wondering if this is the way to go or not. If anybody has any input in other multitracks (I need 16 in-out, not virtual tracks) like the Fostex hard disk or any others please give me some input. It will mostly be used for recording bands live off...
