Hi, I just got my new Mackie 1202 VLZ-PRO YEAH! Anyways, I'm going to run out and buy all the necessary connections that I need tomorrow.
Now I was going to originally get a few 1/4" mono (TS) connectors with a converter to a stereo 1/8" connector.
But in my manual here it says that balanced...
Ahhh, I never even considered the fact that the Mic input channels boosted the signal. I can't decide whether to go from the soundcard into a stereo line-in or into the aux return.
I guess at the moment since I'm not doing anything fancy, it really won't matter, but I'm really beginning to see...
Ok, so it's not really a studio, it's my PC in my bedroom. Here's what I want to do, and how I think (in my small experience) it should be done.
I have a Mackie 1202 that I want to hook-up to my Sound Blaster Live. So here is what I came up with:

After they are ripped to wave files, Real Producer will...

All is not lost. One thing you can do is go out and buy a Promise IDE controller card, or any IDE controller card for that matter (I'm partial to Promise) pop it into a free PCI slot and *bang* two more IDE channels for ya.
Hi, I'm wanting to buy a mixer board for some home recording. I'll be using my SM-57 mic mostly for classical/acoustic guitar, as well as going direct line-in from my guitar amp.
I'll be going from the mixer into my Sound Blaster Live line-in.
The Mackie retails for $380, the Behringer Eurodesk...
