If someone can sing in pitch and still sounds terrible then you are probably right, but most people's problem is singing in pitch and that CAN be taught.
In every genre there are artists who stick around and those that don't. There are rockers and rappers that have been around for quite a while (rappers not as long because it is a newer genre) and I am sure there are people who sing the type of music you like that haven't hung around. Not all...
I gotta go with Trent Reznor but bonus points to the person who said The Goodyear Pimps. One of my favorite bands and always entertaining, even after seeing them more than 20 times.
I also have to mention the guys in Tub Ring, specifically their keyboard player, Rob.
Not really either but I would say more like sleepy dentist if I had to pick one. It's kind of hip hop(non-mainstream) influenced, mainly in the drum beats. I do often have leads going through the songs but they generally aren't crazy Satriani style leads. Partially because I don't want that...
So, I recently began writing some instrumental music because I have been working by myself and can't sing. I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on marketing instrumental music via the internet. I understand instrumental music is not all the same but if anyone has some general...
The red and white are RCAs, so you should just need a 1/8" to RCA cable to run from the headphone jack of the computer to the speakers, assuming they are powered somehow.
Boss and digitech both make looper pedals. Boss actually has a couple different kinds. I'm sure other companies make them too.

A standard midi controller will have no sounds in it, but will allow you to control the virtual instruments in your computer. Most any modern keyboard will have midi ins and outs for use as a midi controller though.
You won't see the level bar like recording audio. Just hit the arm record button, (the button will change but it's barely noticeable) and then hit the main record button. It should work.
I don't know if you are familiar with the program Reason, but it is a soft synth that has drums, synth modules and many other useful effects etc. If you had this program on your computer you could hook up your keyboard via MIDI and control the sounds that way. You would not be recording any...
If you have a keyboard why get a MIDI controller. Just use your keyboard as a MIDI controller. I think a lot of people are confused as to what exactly you are trying to do (I know I am). If you want to play sounds on your computer using a soft synth then you need a midi controller but just about...
I think USB mics are better suited for podcasting or other simple voice recordings. You will want to get some sort of interface so there is no real reason to get a usb mic. Get an interface and a "real" mic.
If you move the track to where it should be does it match the whole song? I mean, is it in time? If it is that is a latency problem like everyone has said (a very common problem in home recording). I had a problem a while back where even if I moved the track to where it should be at the start...
The SM57 is probably a decent place to start. It's arguably one of the most used mics. Maybe not the best for vocals. If you want a mic, just for vocals I might suggest looking around a little more but if versatility is what you want then that is what you will get with the 57.
What I can tell you is that the drums will not sound very real but are decent for hip hop or dance types. It has one big knob which is usually the biggest complaint from people. It does basically everything which can be tedious but it's not really too bad. Those are the potential downsides to...
