You've probably never heard of our stuff, but, 4 out of 7 songs from our last CD made it to medium rotation on several radio stations worldwide. The name of the CD was Under the Influence. I recorded the whole thing at home.
I've used it. It's pretty intuitive. You just click on the type,(male or female), and, adjust the amount. Then your good to go. Waves makes one that also is pretty easy to use, and, sounds good. I've also heard that the C1 can be used in a similar fashion.
Just thought I'd jump on the bandwagon.

PC recording has it's advantages and disadvantages.
Pro's = Time saving features such as: Easy editing capabilities & Fast locating. Also, software is less expensive than outboard gear.
Con's = You'll have to become fairly computer saavy to "optimize" your system for reliability.
I've tried this. What happens is that resources do run low, things get very sticky, and, unless the two cards are exactly the same, or, tied together by word clock, there will be drifting. Translation... Timing gets whacked. Also, the software your using has to be written to accommodate more...
