Have you tried CD-Xtract? I use an application called CD-Xtract. It will convert many types of sample library into SoundFont format. You can check it out on http://cdxtract.amazingsound.com/ It's pretty decent. -L

well... M experience with ACID is really limited, but yes, you can build drum tracks in SONAR using one hit drum samples. It would be painless and simple. As far as a comparison against ACID's edit and mixing...I dunno...any else take this one? -L

Gosh I dunno?!? I never tried to load them from cakewalk. I always loaded them from Audio HQ. HAH! Shows you how observant /I am/. I always loaded them in audio HQ before I even started using soundfonts in Cakewalk. I know how to use them in SONAR internally, but never tried in Pro audio...

Using soundfonts. In cakewalk, under Options --> Midi Devices You want to highlight "SBLive Midi synth" (you probably have two listed). then in cakewalk, select that output port on a midi chanel and set the bank and patch to match the bank where you loaded the soundfont. You should be all set...

Yeah..I think You should be able to record your music as audio in Pro Audio 9 and export the tracks out as .wav files. Then open them in Cool Edit Pro. You will need to convert any MIDI tracks to audio tracks by playing each midi track back and recording it as audio. -L
