VS880: How to get continuous song flow? Reccomendations?

Here's the scenario: I'm working on a project that will have several songs flowing together without stopping. I've recorded most of a couple songs, and want to start recording parts of later songs. I had assumed it would be possible to add one song to the end of another and go back in to...

Any tips on buying memory for AKAI S6000...?

...'cause it seems the 8Mb that the S6000 came with is starting to prove insufficient. I've looked for SIMM's with a search engine, but was wondering if anyone here has any advice re: dealers, manufacturers, installation, color schemes, whatever...! Fingers crossed....

AKAI S6000 - how the #@%&* do I get OS up to date?

Can anyone help me with this? I've got an AKAI S6000 running on OS version 1.30. The current OS is 2.11, I think. So, do I need to install all the upgrades that have come out between 1.30 and 2.11, or do I just need to install the newest one? BTW, I've already e-mailed Akai tech support...

Event 20/20 bas: any problems with hum or excessive heat?

Has anybody heard of, or had problems themselves, with amp hum or excessive heat with the 20/20 bas monoitors? I *ahem* tried to listen to some at Guitar Center (sadly, the only place in the state that stocks them), but they've got the damned radio blaring over their P.A. system IN A ROOM...

AAAARGH! So, anyway, I've been trying to find some decent, affordable powered monitors here in Denvoid, Colorado.... The result? Of the types I've narrowed my search to according to reviews, and recommendations on this forum, well, there are a few Mackies out there, which aren't what I...

Studio monitors - Where are the low frequencies? Subwoofer...?

Can somebody help me? Been shopping for some relatively inexpensive near-field monitors. Unlike headphones, a monitor's specified frequency range rarely goes below 50Hz or so, and never even approaches 20Hz, which I understand is the generally accepted lower limit of human hearing. (whew.)...
