    My latest recordings (alternative)

kool guitars, good song, but yeh snare needs something more (volume and like something kool, reverb?,delay? something to make it go "pow"), bass is good. vocals need to be more up front in the mix, boost 1-3 khz area. guitar is awsome tho. -heath

New Demo "Echo and the Pass"

Tooo Looonnng Awsome... Good mix for a demo, the final product should end up amazing. only one thing tho, it's too long. in IMHO. i would love to here a cut down 3-4minute "single". but thats the only opinion, i can give... sorry its a biased one :D i did enjoy it though. - Heath

    Bigness

Harder panning Levels are good i think as far as i can tell. i would do more extreme panning on the guitars to give them more room too breathe, and too make it more exciting. my 2 Cents. - Heath

    my first submission here...

Very nice abstract tune very nice, i would pull the the main guitar down a little ( the sustained one at the begging) for my taste. but other than that very nice, cool drums too :). Edit : i also agree with what jjtcorsair is commenting on too.

    Albums/Artists - casualty's of the loudness war

i'm compiling a list of albums that have been destroyed(clipping, too much compression, BW limiting). one that stands out for me is Red hot chilli peppers - Calafornacation anyone else care to add, im sure there are lots. but im more looking for ones with, half respectable artists that have...

question about compressing a final mix/or the master channel

threshold is where it will first start effecting it. say your threshold is -5 dB, anything that goes over that -3 db or whatever will be compressed according too the ratio. and yeh i agree with what legion.. it is also what i do. fidel.. sound cool. awsome... NEXT SONG...(said like jack black)

"Sooner or Later" - Is it done?

Coolios Nice song/mix. also because the drums are false. only thing i would change is the guitar solo. less distortion, and a tube amp, if it is a tube amp it seems like a pretty nasty one. heh. but if you where just using what you had. very nice job. -Heath
