Hey guys,
I was wondering if any knows who will repair the 238 these days. I have one where the transport is running at warp speed when in play mode. I bought it new many years ago and did some fun recording on that thing.
Any help is appreciated.

Cool beans, man! I love that machine. It is simple and rather straight-forward to use and it sounds really good. You are lucky to find one in such good condition.
Congrats,

Wish I could help you. I just got my D3200 about 2 weeks ago and am just getting into editing. I haven't gotten into the "hard" stuff yet. But it is a great machine. There is a place that specifically deals with the D3200 at studiotrax.net. I'm not trying to get you away from this forum because...
Hey, ssscientist.
Your prediction is about to come true. I think that the Korg offers a few things that I may find useful down the road. Maybe I just missed it but I didn't see where the Yamaha offers automation. Please correct me if I am wrong. And 32 tracks is a something that will be used...
Thanks J and others,
I think a couple of reasons I'm leaning towards the Korg is that it seems a little less cumbersome to learn and the layout looks a little easier to manage. I want things to be as simple as possible. :o 32 tracks is nice and 12 analog inputs for recording is nice, too...
Hey, thanks guys. I'll check into the Yamaha. I've seen the screen on the Korg and it is very small. Not so much to make me not want it, though.
Do you think the Yamaha is easier to use than the Korg?
(Sorry it took so long to reply. My internet is down at my house and it was also down...
I'd like to hear from someone who has had some experience with one. I've been reading the manual and can't quite figure out some of this stuff. I don't own one ... yet. I would just like to know from people who have worked with it what their impressions are, good and bad. I am totally new to...
I have a 688 and the manual is not very clear. I know I need to read it again (and again). I was wondering if anyone out there knows how to create a scene. I'm wanting to record two tracks at a time. I may be missing something the manual is presenting but this machine is really confusing to me...
I own a 238. I never had any trouble with tracks and have not heard of that before. However, I have the 238 and a 464 in which both motors have croaked. I'd like to get the 238 fixed because it is a really nice machine.
I also bought a new laptop last Oct. When I tried recording with Audacity I also got those clicks you are talking about. The latency was pretty bad also. I then tried it with SoundForge and didn't get the clicks. Don't know about the latency because it is two-track.
Is it something about...
