Has anyone else had issues with the MIDI over LAN in OSX? I tried to sync up a video show to my live tracks between two computers via MIDI over LAN, an ethernet cord between the computers...running Logic to send the midi messages and Modul8 to receive and subsequently select the appropriate clip...

Looks really cool, and not that expensive... Has anyone tried this with success in recording? Would love to put more hard drives in my G5, but all the drive bays are full...so this would, I think, be a better solution than yet another firewire or usb2 enclosure.

I simply must know...my budget is around the $1.50 - $1.75 range. I've heard the Newman U37 or something like that is good. will that fit in my budget?

Do any of you get pissed off with recording from time to time, and it becomes a chore to even turn on the old studio computer? Or is it just me?
