Mixdown audio WAV files play back slow

ah, thanks. Well, at this point I need to try and salvage what I have, since I can't spring for WaveLab yet. I'll probably play the audio off to DAT, reset everything, then play it back in...unless you can think of a better way. I thought I would try to get a clean copy of the audio and then...

Mixdown audio WAV files play back slow

First, thanks for the help for this relative newbie! But, how do I re-sample it? Is it just a matter of changing the value to 44.1? Or, do I need to do something else in addition to changing this value?

Mixdown audio WAV files play back slow

Yes, that is very possible. So, is this a fixable problem, now that I have already recorded the tracks at 48k? If it is fixable, how do I fix it? Sorry, that's probably an elementary question, so bear with me!

Mixdown audio WAV files play back slow

Weird. I'm using CW9.03 Pro Audio with Echo Audio Gina20, WinXP. Recording is great, but when I do "Mixdown Audio" and save the tracks as WAV files, the WAV files play back slow, and the pitch is therefore about a whole step low! Any ideas on this one? Before I switched out my computer...

Gigasampler...how exactly do I use it?

I have Cakewalk PA 9.0 and I also have Gigasampler with some of the sample CDs. This thing looks really cool, and being a guitarist, the idea of using MIDI to do a bass line, for example and including that in my Cakewalk project really opens up possibilities. Thing is, I'm not totally sure how...

    Mastering for non-engineers

I think you're right there. No matter what you are using, you must learn to use it properly. I could sit behind the console at a mastering house, and all I would do is make a mess. But a mastering engineer could probably use Wavelab or a finalizer in MY studio and come up with something...

    Mastering for non-engineers

....In conclusion.... Wow, I never thought my thread would generate so many responses with such great information. Thanks. I want to sum up this way. It sounds like if I want the ultimate mix, the best thing to do is turn it over to a mastering house. However, most of what I do is...

    Mastering for non-engineers

First I want to say that I'm a very experienced musician, but relatively new to home recording. I'm also new to this discussion site, and WOW...there are some really talented and knowledgeable folks here. This is a terrific resource! Now, on to my questions. I am tring to get a handle on...

Why do I only hear left channel when recording?

OK. I'm new at this, so pardon if this is a stupid question. I'm using CWPA 9, Event Gina, Mackie 1202 board. I set up to record using Gina 1/2 and plug my mic into Gina channel 1. The playback is set to Gina 1/2 playback, which is plugged into the Mackie stereo channel 5/6, panned straight...

    event gINA and AMD users

Event recognizes that there are problems, not with Athlon processors, but rather the chipset on the motherboard. If you have a motherboard with an Intel chipset, you should be fine. I'm using a K62-550 AMD with a Gina20 and it works perfectly. Check http://www.echoaudio.com for the details.
