Well, if it's going into a computer, you could record it dry and add some kind of cabinet simulator plugin later. Otherwise the new Pods can be used as purely a cab sim, bypassing the preamp stage.
No, don't have a PRS and I've only ever briefly played one of the imports (SE?) which had a couple of humbuckers in it. They may or may not be great guitars but I just can't stand the way they look, too fancy-pants for mine.
