My guitar is driving me f**king CRAZY!!

Hey Phil.....If it's a ZR trem and it's acting up a bit, that round thingy on the upper part of the trem (the area where your wrist rests, is an intonation tool. Unscrew that and use it to intonate. It's pretty simple actually. I've got a few Ibby's with ZR's. You shouldn't have to mess with...

problem with floating bridge not going to zero point

yeah, well....Any tech with a brain knows not to file into trem posts! File knife edges....yes.....mess with the integrity of trem posts...Big no no...Besides...what would the result of carving into the trem posts be. What benefit?? That's why you file the knife edges........Plus...Everyone...

problem with floating bridge not going to zero point

DMeek.....You have a Lo-trs trem on that 7420 which means (as already said), it's junk. Those are the bottom of the line trems. 7420's got the Lo-trs, 7620's got the Lo-pro edge trems. I just briefly browsed everyones responses but if they did any sort of carving into your trem posts...they...

Differences: Sonar7 production and home studio

I think....not 100% but producer has "audio snap" function where XL doesn't....And that really sucks!

Here's Your Big Chance To TOTALLY Diss A Famous Guitarist

Actually, thank John Sykes for that solo...as well as the rest of them on that album cause he was the one who did them....Probably Sykes's best guitar work. I really can't stand Jimmy Page. I'm with the others as far as what has been said about him. I mean, that is really some fucking...

    Petrucci fans ...

Also you might want to check out Petrucci's solo album "suspended Animation". To me, those tunes have more "space" in them. The DT stuff, there is so much going on...I like it, but a lot of people don't. As far as his tone, I'm a fan of that as well. But when you're talking tone, that's a...

    Sonar 7XL mix down problems.....HELP!

Nope.... I fixed the problem anyway. I disabled the "fast bounce" when mixing down and that pretty much fixed it.

    EVH Wolfgang

I was hoping the local GC would have one so I could test drive it......If they do though, I'm sure by now it's been deflowered repetitively!

    Sonar 7XL mix down problems.....HELP!

Hey all......I'm working on my second tune here and am at the mixdown stage of things. Now the first instrumental I did went off without a hitch. Everything recorded nicely, mixed it down with no problems, burned it right to a CD. Now I basically was doing the same thing with this next tune...

    Four questions

Try the Ibanez SA lineup. fixed bridge, hum + singles, thin mahogany that produces a very nice tone (without the weight of a Les Paul). Construction of these is rock solid. I'm assuming you are looking for a simple fixed bridge, thus the reason for suggesting this line of Ibanez. There are...

need help - Son4 records metronome etc on my track

I think if you are duplicating previous tracks onto a new track, isn't that because you haven't disarmed the other tracks? I know I've done that before.

    drop outs during step sequencing.....

hey guys, I've got Sonar 7XL and for some strange reason, I've had a few dropouts when I'm in the middle of using the step sequencer with the drum program. Any idea? My soundcard is an M-audio 2496.

Sonar 7 home, vs. Sonar 7XL home......

What's the difference between the standard and XL software??? They both seem like they have most of the same stuff.......don't they?

Ibanez switch and vol pot mod....

I just finished some mods on my Ibanez 7620. I moved the vol pot down a bit (kept hitting it with my pick hand), changed the selector from a 5-way to a 3-way toggle. and moved the output jack to a "Jem" location......Here's some pics...

    pickup wiring......

Well, I hadn't planned on using a push/pull. Running the neck (single) was merely just an idea. I'm not dead set on it or anything. I really only use the bridge (full) and the neck (full). Rarely do I use any other positions on the 5-way I have now. If anything could I use the center...

    pickup wiring......

Hey guys....I really suck at figuring out alternate pickup wiring. I've got a two humbucker, 1 vol, 1, tone, with a 3-way three post toggle. I would like to wire it 1st pos (down)-bridge p/u, 2nd pos (middle)- neck (full), and 3rd pos (up)- single coil neck. Can anyone draw up a diagram that...

    Most technical instrumental album

True dat.....True dat! So then I'd have to say I'm a huge fan of Tony MacAlpine w/Planet X. Although, anything by MacAlpine is worth a listen in my opinion.
