That seems to be the consensus on the research I've done. The CD was recorded in LE, so some tracks might be hard to mix down, although I guess I could bounce the drums all to once bus and reduce tracks that way...

I think the main reason for getting the Firepod is so I can have more inputs. The idea of being able to record 8 tracks at a time (vs the 4 from the firebox) is very appealing to me. I'm glad the 4040 is a good choice, from all that I have read it seems like a very good mic.

It's not so much that things aren't working properly, it's just that things aren't working at all. For instance, if I load up the Subtractor I can't get any input single from the controller (the note on button never lights up), so I think something is just plain messed up somewhere
