I was at GC yesterday, looking closely at the AKG perception 200, and inside the top grill I see the capsule that looks so similar to that used in many Chinese made LD condensor mics out there. Made me wonder if that particular capsule is standard in China.

Thanks for the link. I read both of those. But I really would like to hear more from users rather than reviewers. I open the side of my case, and lay the PC down so that the CPU fan blow the air out in the open . But one day, I'll have to think about water cooling for the CPU and hard drives.

Interesting. I heard bad reviews about this keyboard, and some claim the keys' action isn't close to that of a piano.

I already have an Art tube pre. So I will get an 0404 to start. Maybe a year later I'll buy the 1820M

Is there much differnce between the 1820 and 1820M EMU cards ? Only the DAC and out put opamps ? If you use only for digital recording, will there be much difference ? Like if I use the mic preamps to input into the PC, would the 1820M be better ?

I just found out that all of them use the 1010 PCI card. Does that mean only the digital to analog converters (DAC) are different ?

I took off and put back on the 4 screws so many times (10 times roughly) that they are worn to the point not being able to hold in place any more. These things are more delicate than I thought. Anyway, I also managed to lose 2 of them. Anywhere I could go to find replacement for these ?
