I have the original M-Box and the pres are not the best - although they're fine for recording line in instruments. I would suggest a good mic pre. As for which one, I'm not an expert - I'm sure someone on here can point you in the right direction. I'd be curious to know, myself. :-) -Jagg.

I use a '92 Mexican Tele with Fender M80 Stereo Chorus amp. It has that bendy feel of a Squier but a fuller sound that you get from a real tele. What do you guys use for effects? I use Boss across the board. (And no I don't work for them). :D

Hi recording newbie interested in building a recording studio. I often see home recording studios that seem to have their computer within their recording space (i.e. the room itself). Wouldn't the sound of the computer get picked up by the mic(s)?? Or is there something I'm not catching...
