If you actually own the software you would have the paper manual with the quick start guide that shows you how do what your talking about. Grab it up and RTFM!
If you don't own it grow a spine and shell out the cash cheapskate! Even the cheap version is only $50(...
If you can find a good solid way to convert the balanced outs of the mixer to the unbal ins of the Audiophile(reversed DI may work) do that but DO NOT use a little XLR to RCA adaptor. NO NO NO! You'll just end up with noise and headaches.
I have to disagree completely, Nobody I work with has had any issues on a Mac when using M-Audio interfaces.........
Heck I use one everyday and love it(My Presonus I can't say love as its god but I hate front mounted XLR inputs..... Annoying to have cables were my mouse should be).
I've...
No you shouldn't..... Since the sounds are coming from you software the built in MIDI ports shouldn't have any bearing on it at all. Do you have your built in sound setup in FL?
You gonna get similar performance between firewire and USB 2.0. I wouldn't worry there. I have had decent results using a guitar plugin with USB 1.1 so...
I highly disagree.
M-Audio always makes a solid product, And considering that I do work in the industry and have/had close friends at M-Audio and Edirol and my best friend was a consultant for many of their products and is for several big name company's that many here know and love.
I can...
Well you would need a minimum of three inputs to record a stereo drum track and a mono guitar part.
The Mbox 2 won't do this (Only Two in's).
The Firewire solo wont be enough in's ether.
The Fast Track Ultra will do three in's and then some(I think it has Six in's).
The Firebox has Four in's...
Had one sent it back.
Inputs were actually bleeding into each other.
Just to check it out I would record input two while plugging into input one and I could hear my guitar on track two!!!! WTF?????? Piece of shit.
Avoid it or at least try that test too see if it does that...
I have a couple of WD drives. One is really quiet and one is a steamer.
But I will say the one that cost $200 is the quiet one even though its supposed to be the same as the cheap one(under $100).
If I was in your shoes I would just stick it out and save up an extra hundred or two and buy something like a(I always recommend this one cause its good and I have one and love it to death) M-Audio Mobile pre USB and say a Studio Projects B1 both very good for the money and the mic is usable if...
Man this thread is still going????? I read the first one months ago!
Seriously man, Put down the pipe and call rehab!!!!
I thought I couldn't sing, But I'm reconsidering pitching my work to a major label after hearing you JordanD.
He's like a kid on a sugar fix looking for a...
What sort of file are you exporting for Sonar? is it a Raw wav or a broadcast wav etc etc. You may wish to try broadcast wav. Or heck if wav's are being an issue try exporting a Aiff and try loading it into recycle.
Worse come to worse try e-mailing Propellerheads.
Cheers!
I gotta agree with ya man! Amen and so forth.:)
I recorded a full length CD for the RPM Challenge(Record and write a 10 song or 30min album in one month) in February after only having My Macbook for a week. I was able to work with Garageband without much in ways of hiccups(Just needed to learn...
First are you using a keyboard to control this all or what?
Second it shouldn't be that hard if your just trying to play notes in.
Third No you really shouldn't need a mixer to use FL.....
Fourth you should be able to just drag and drop the MIDI File into a track with a softsynth on...
