Man this is the best news Ive heard in a while! I have been busting my ass trying to get this song finished by tomorrow since I am going out of town. Now I can relax for a week! 4 days straight sitting in this tiny space staring at the computer is very bad!
Hey I liked the song The Ticks. Sounds good! The acoustic reminds me of stuff I play, but on electric. But however one thing bothers me. Why would anyone respect a tick?
Yeah... I didnt record or mix down the vocals, so Im not sure what happened. I do know doug recorded through an old portastudio I think that he uses as a mixer and that introduces a lot of garbled noise as well as the meager and pathetic mics we have. also he added a sample from a tape he has...
Wow! sounds real good. I like the tone alot. It's so clear and pristine. However I have no idea what amp this is coming from, alas, I am not versed in the sounds of different amps.
Ok... This is my second song post. This one is from about 1/2 a year ago approx. It is sort of a cover/remix of the last song I posted, but different and with vocals and stuff. My friend douglas cheatwood wrote and performed the vocals, I think it was merely a joke and nothing serious. He...
Thanks for the reply. Like I said, This was the first song I did, quite a while back and I am in the real instruments now. I just wanted to show how I've progressed. The song I'm working on for the comp is entirely different.
Well I figured since I am putting something on the comp cd, I should put some music up for people to hear. Ill start with the first song I did and add another each week. When I started out, I was doing simple stuff to learn how to use my equipment and software, so what we have here is a simple...
Ok. Well I found out what DAM is all about. It sounds simple. Like I said, anything is fine with me, be it burned to CD and sent to someone, or uploaded to mp3.com.
Well, what exactly is a DAM? I guess I could go to mp3.com and find out... What I do know is that a few friends and I locally distribute cds to each other of songs and they always sound better than the 128kbs mp3s we send. But I am up for anything.
Does anyone know of any software (if there is such a thing) that removes vocals from songs? I have heard about this from a friend, but I don't know of any.
Anyone know why I cant record from line in on my sound card? I can record from the mic jack, but the Line in doesnt work, Ive used Sound Forge, Acid, and windows sound recorder. I get sound out of my speakers when playing through the Line in, but it wont record.
I have a few questions. I am planning to update and get new software. I am using ancient freeware and stuff, such as an old version of cakewalk XP and an old version of Cool Edit. I also have Sound Forge and Acid. Anyways, I am planning on getting Cubase, Recycle and Rebirth. I am looking...
This reminds me of what my friend/mentor Douglas once told me, something to the extent of:
The most important thing in recording is learning to use each piece of machinery to it's fullest.
I am 17 and have a very small income, but I have managed to pay off my pathetic car and now I can save...
If I had a soundcard with multiple outputs and inputs, which I am planning to purchase soon enough, would I be able to take midi tracks going out, put them through effects processors, etc., then put them back into the soundcard recording as a wav? I was just wondering about this.
