Nady RSM-2 ribbon mic, same as T-bone RB500?

Have heard that this new Nady ribbon mic is meant to be pretty impressive and have seen it selling at about £300 to £350, but have also heard that it is sold as the T-bone RB500 in Europe with a different grill for just under £100, does anyone know if this is right? if so where can i get one...

    Decent active monitors under £300???

Gidday folks, have been using a set of passive Alesis MK2s through an old NAD amplifier for monitoring, whilst the sound is pretty good it always has a serious amount of bass which aint a bad thing but i always end up overcompensating and when i listen back on other systems it seems bass light...

Recording Mics Simultaneously on Seperate Tracks

also have a look at the EMU 1820, possible to have 8 analogue inputs and another 8 if you have ADAT/2 for SPDIF. Have just used it to record drums and using plug ins on separate drum tracks makes a massssive difference to the overall sound. Groovy indeed

JoeMeek SC2.2 or RNC for drum overheads

Think i'll be sticking the bass drum through the Meek then and RNC for overheads. Hopefully be using a Voicemaster for the snare. The RNC was a wise purchase by the sounds of it, but have found the Meek is more suited to guitars, and bass. My Yamaha bass sounds hefty through it!

JoeMeek SC2.2 or RNC for drum overheads

I've heard some people say that since the Joe Meek is an optical compressor it cant quite capture all the transients but then again others swear by it for overheads. I've got a choice of this and an RNC for recording drums shortly. Would i be best to use the RNC for the overheads and the joe...

Advice on input levels to EMU soundcard

Thanks for the replies, it's TRS jacks that I am using to connect the mackie to the TF pro preamps. Am i right in thinking that i would be better connecting them to two of the six analogue line inputs then, as they have a higher dynamic range and SNR than the TF Pro preamps?

Advice on input levels to EMU soundcard

Hello, was wondering if someone could maybe tell me whether this is a serious issue or not? Have recently bought an EMU 1820M which has had pretty good reviews from what i've read. I've connected the main outputs from my Mackie Vlz to the 2 TF Pro inputs on the EMU using jacks. I've set the...
