hehehe.
Dude - I really liked the song. Brought back the old days. I really loved the hard left/right thing too but understand what you are doing there.
Make sure and let me know if you get a newer version up. :)
The pitch correction is disconcerting. Are you using it for an effect or to fix their pitch? If it is the latter, its not helping the overall song.
I like the piano sound and where you put it in the mix......
Awright....I can see how you made more space and I kindof like it too, but now that you have created that space I felt like the bass needed to be put a little more front and centre - what do you think?
You also might want to try putting at least SOMETHING over on the right (I think Ted...
The beginning evoked a bit of the start of 'overture' on 2112. I liked the guitars and the bass - the way they aren't competing for space. The bass is definitely not boomy. Drums are just a little bit wimpy sounding. To motorcycle could be a little more dominant in both the intro and at the...
good song....
...I think the 2nd mix was taken off the server.
The first mix had good drums but I would have liked to hear the guitars come up a little when during the verse. And lose the auto-tune. yuck.
Have you considered taking the MIDI out of the vdrum kit into your sequencer/recorder and using your own samples instead of the stock vdrum sounds - that might be a solution to this issue. That way - you will still get the 'feel' of playing without having to use the vdrum module as a drumkit...
I was originally going with a circa 1974 "Wings" feel with this but, as usual ended up with something completely different.
Anyway - I likes the mixing/arranging feedback.
impossible songs
Take the audio output of your cassette player and plug it into the audio input of the computer's sound card.
you can use pretty much any sound recording program to record the audio stream.
Good songwriting
Chords, songwriting reminded me of good old Clash.
Can't say the guitar sound was what I like, but I am an old punk and you probably don't care about that anyhow. :D
good version
I guess the only thing I would comment on is that your vocal sounds a little thin - the singing is great.
What was the miking of the singer like? Effects?
Huh?
You can record your midi in Cubase and have rewire provide any reason instrument to the poool of available midi devices in Cubase..
Have you read the cubase manual about operating rewire? Its a bit much to go into here.
Check out your manual.
Pay attention to the sections on Sound Cards, ASIO drivers, and Latency.
If you are newbie to cubase - you need to review this.
Hope this helps....
