Speaking of the weight problem....
I play a 1988 LP Custom LITE.
They made it for a couple years around then... and I heard there is a recent model.
Mine has an Ebony neck, and it feels the same as any LP of that vintage. But it is LIGHTER.
It is still heavier than my Strat.. but it is not AS...
You guys wanna hears some craziness? Kind of off topic.. but meh.
I live in Seoul right now, and I play with a rock band.
It is totally standard.... everywhere in town, that the clubs just have a Backline and 2 Guitar halfstacks of their own. We don't bring amps or drums.
Everwhere we go...
Dang this thread is deep. I appreciate reading it.
But my opinion is unchanged- the US copyright office is irrelevant.
They offer you no additional protection over independent publication on 3rd party server
Oh, I have. And I would take the records of CD baby- who ships tunes to Google...
CoolCat- Im with you. this is unnecessary nowadays.
Just publish it through. . anyone.
BandCamp. YouTube. SoundCloud. Wherever. And press a CDR with datestamps.
Then... when you think your UNIQUE idea got ripped off by Farrell... you have all the proof you need.
Plus- you are WAY more...
Hm.
So.. I have released a lot of records over the years.. and things have changed.
That said, the group I am with now- we released a full length album last year.. and I was surprised--it is still a thing.
As far as physical copies go - we printed 50 CDs, and 50 USB cards (the buisiness card...
Get an extra 7-pin cable.
Check one, take one with you for proof.
If it gets confiscated... its ok, you have a spare...and you have it to prove the mic.
If it doesn't, its all good.. you should bring a spare anyway.
Notably.. Neutrik makes 7-pin connectors. Cut one of those 30-footers down to...
ecc is right as rain here.
I took a weekend about 15 years ago and built a patch bay, as well as a whole set of patch cables, XLRs, and various extension cords. I still use them today. I could have got away with some premade stuff though :)
Do yourself one favor- spend a couple extra dollars...
So if you are going for a bass drop here... the only problem is that there is no Drop. Compositionally. There is no space at all in the bass register.. just that big, droney kick sound taking all the air out of the room. Of course.. you only gave us a couple bars, so who knows. But you can't...
For real, man.. you've been in the game long enough to know better than to upgrade the first month!
I'll stick with 9 until I have NO projects going...and a ton of free time...and 9 is for some reason not doing it for me... or there is some killer new feature I need. All of which ain't true...
Huh.. I thought I posted this already.
Anyway, forget about crest factor..cuz that us full range.
Try to look at it with a spectrum analyzer if you want... you will see where the drama is.
That drop is impressive because there is basically nothing going on in that frequency spectrum.. like...
Listen- if you are gonna spend $100 only, and only want to buy new stuff... get a SM58 or a 57.
Why? Well.. a $100 condenser is not enough mic for vocals. It will, in the end, be a mic that you don't need and don't use.
A 58, on the other hand, is a workhorse that you can use live, on...
If it helps... here is my current build.. and I could easilty handle that project:
INTEL DH67BL board...
i5 2500
20GB RAM (kingston)
500GB SSD in primary position (Samsung)
2TB SATA3 drive in secondary position. (seagate)
a couple silent 120mm fans....
a roomy case and a decent powersupply...
You need an interface. Something with A->D conversion..... other than the built in thing on your computer, IMO. Though.. its possible.
You COULD use the Fostex's pre-amps if you like the sound of them. But most interfaces have decent preamps these days so meh.
You will probably be happier...
Give us an example of a track you mean.
I like TECHNO.. I listen to it a lot.. and I would rarely describe it as "Dynamic". Not when compared to music with actual dynamics ;)
