I recently joined a cover band, mainly 80's and new rock/pop/dance type music. I looking to get a new guitar that is versatile in sounds, perhaps with both humbuckers and a single coil pickup. My budget tops at around $1500.00. I've been eyeing up the Ibanez Jem and Rg series, but havent yet...

The track folders feature alone is worth it in my opinion, I'm loving it!

To greatly reduce noise I wash my hands or get them damp and dry them before I play, makes a big difference. If I still get some spots that are too loud I just edit/lower volume over that area in Sonar.

Just curious if your typical medium to faster guitar solo's are double tracked and then edited as needed? I've tried and it never seems to sound right, it seems over obvious there are two guitars playing the part instead of sounding like one guitar.

I'm not a pro but I do know if you apply alot of different reverbs to different tracks the whole thing together prolly wont sound quite right... and maybe thats what you want I dont know. In many cases you want to more or less make things sound as if they were in the same sonic space. Maybe...

Dumb question, but I'm going nuts so here goes. Using 1604vlz pro with Emu 1820 and Sonar 3. Anyways, when its time to record with a microphone I only want the headphones and not the control room outs to sound. Is there anyway to do this on the 1604 other than unplugging the damn control out...

For my 16th birthday my parents bought me a new 1981 Ibanez Iceman(made in Japan). It's a little bit dinged up now but still plays and sounds fantastic! Jeez I'm starting to get old
