Hi again,
Sorry about all the questions....gotta learn somehow though!!
I am running a behringer desk through my pc which runs windows xp and i'm using cubase vst32. No matter how softly I sing or how far away from the mic (within reason), the sound plays back unclear, distorted mostly. This...
Hi,
I was wondering if you could tell me how to go about recording some keyboard tracks....I have a little yamaha keyboard and am running cubase vst32 and using a Behringer mixing desk. I have a feeling that I shouldn't plug the keyboard directly into the desk....right? wrong? And if I am to...

Thanks a lot guys. I will try out your suggestions for future reference. As it is, I'm accepting the fact that it probably has gone forever. I use xp. Hmmm.....ah well.

Hi there,
I did some recording the other night....the takes that were of no use I deleted to the recycle bin. Unfortunatley I put some takes in the bin that were useful - and now I need to get them back. I am using windows xp home edition. As I emptied the recycle bin, I'm under the impression...
Not to discourage though. Use it, if it works for you go for it. If you find it lacking in fidelity / functionality, consider upgrading to something by Aaardvark, Maudio, Lynx, Echo etc. [/B]

Hi there.
Look, I REALLY am in desparate mode now. let me tell you how it is...at the moment.

Thanks heaps Boze! I think I understand what you're saying....to get the 1st track down and save it into cubase as an audio file BEFORE recording another...? I'll try that. I read a few articles from this website: http://www.ethanwiner.com/mixer2daw.html
which have been helpful.
if all else...
Hi.
I have a Realtek AC97 soundcard that came with my PC. Can someone please tell me a little bit about this as I know Jack about soundcards. I am using an external mixer with cubase vst 32.
Cheers, Nassa
I'm using cubase vst32, a behringerUB1204-PRO mixer which has a built in FX unit in it (that I can't work out properly yet either!!!), a Realtek AC97 sound card and my PC runs windows XP (not sure if that's what you meant by hardware ?)
Both channel's 1 and 7/8 are muted and I can hear back...
I have this problem where I can't listen to pre recorded tracks through my headphones while I record another track to go with it. ie, listen to the gtar track while I put vocals down on top. I'm recording through channel 1 and 7/8 channel is the playback.
It's rather difficult recording like...
Me too!!!!
I am using cubase vst32 and I am having the same problem. What's the deal? I thought it was due to the mixer. What are we doing wrong here?
I have a double whammy where the first track is recorded and heard via phones, dry. But the second track (along with the first bled into...
Well, it didn't take long did it!
PROBLEMO #2 !!!
I recorded a gtar track on channel one. I can play it back (through channel's 7 & 8) no worries. But then when I go to do a vocal track, (of which I use channel 1 too as it has the mic) on playback, I get reverb coming through again.
