what are the best wireless headphones u know?

Wow..... Exactly.....a spot-on description of these pieces of sh*t headphones.....ha. I bought these cans at Radio Shack 2 weeks ago thinking the same thing -- that these would be great for tracking.....no more rolling my chair over the headphone cables lying on the floor, right? I...

    Down By the River....Well, kinda?

Was just goofing a while back and laid this down quickly. Used Seagull acoustic, overdubbed quick leadorama over double tracked acoustic, keyboard bass (fender p-bass preset) and programmed my drums using samples in Orion/RMIV. I know my playing is.....eh. But would dig any commentary as to...

    vf-16 backup

Jaz drives rule! I use a 2Gb external drive with the VF16 and usually get one 5-6 minute song per "save" . I then pop it into the internal 2Gb drive in the computer and save the .wav's to disk. Could not be easier. And fast. Jaz drives are getting cheaper all the time on Ebay -- check it out.

    Rewire in Audtion 1.5

Hey.... Just got 1.5 delivered yesterday and had to check it out right away. The two big feature upgrades for me are VST compatibility and Rewire. My VST folder installed without a hitch -- works great, just like in any other VST host prog. Rewire works, also, although I've only tried it with...

    an accoustic snippet

Yes..... Assuming it was recorded mono with the one mic, it sounds like you did the ol' double the track and stereo delay'd it 20-30ms trick. Or, you offset the two tracks by that much and panned l/r. I didn't try it in mono, but yeah, it sometimes does not hold up. Try mic'ing with two mic's...

Listen to a PRO MIX recorded from computer mic

"Do professionals use Autotune ?" Oh, lord, yes they DO!! In fact, probably more than half of all Top 40 hits now have Autotune all over 'em. If you see a lot of these "artists" perform live, they fall flat on thier ass......In fact, NOT using Autotune will probably become a badge of honor soon.

acoustic/slide/vox ~~and only an hour and a half window of opportunity....

No.....leave the effects. They're not distracting at all and actually make it sound more like a stage performance rather than chilling in the studio. Like the in the face acoustic. More, please.

    Box o' tissues blues

Ha..... Just what occured to me, also......after listening through the entire song. Neil, Neil, Neil....with Crazy Horse, which is NOT a bad thing at all. Actually, as far as being such a "sad" song, maybe I missed something? Please clue me in if so, but it sounds like a dude with a family...

    Guitar Instrumental

I agree with above...chops are tight, if a little unoriginal. Sounds like circa 1972....Rick Derringer noodling around at a soundcheck, perhaps. Yes, edit out the amp hum and room noise, bring up drums, pan guitars l/r. Rawk on!

    Crumbs In Da Buttah.......whaddaya think?

Hey, thanks, Hevy...... I'm in your debt....not just for your kind words here, but I believe I posted some psyche stuff a few months back, and sure enough you came through with actually some quite helpful insights. Yeah, it was quite fun to do...recorded the various bits first, Seagull...

    Crumbs In Da Buttah.......whaddaya think?

Hi, All...... Longtime lurker, infrequent poster -- I'll be honest. I feel a little sheepish asking for your opinion/critique as I could be a tad more prolific in that dept. myself, but........pleeeeeze?? There is a ton of quietly awesome material posted here from other knob twiddlers that I...

    Some live, some studio...comments?

Hey, thanks for the kind words, guys! Upon re-reading my original post, it's clear I have to give credit where credit is due -- while almost everything here is my playing, the exception would be "Crocodile", which was a straight to digital recoding of a basement jam by 3 friends of mine, whom I...
