alright so i messed with the compression and normalizing/hard limiting features in CEP but it still seems to be much more quiet compared other songs, even when i boosted to as much as 2db. can anyone give me a specific route to take on CEP like which presets to use that CEP offers? thanks

i noticed that CEP peaks at very low volumes... thus all my recordings cant be near as loud as other songs without becoming distorted due to turning up the volume. is there any way i can make my recordings louder without peaking? thanks!

i think the vdrums concert or session kits are pretty good very pricy though

well put...any way you look at it, all of the kits named will sound great with the right heads and a tuning dial. i own an export myself and it sounded like crap till i really learned how to prepare drums before you play them.

monte, what do you mean by they dont work well with "some PC's?" does this mean they dont work with random ones or just slow ones? i have a very capable pc if that clears anything up? im getting a 24 channel mixer so its really not a matter of how many channels (ill get three 1010s if needed)...

i dont know much about mic placement, but i do know... aquarian superkick1 - tuned with a dial tuner (unless you are one of the very few people in this world that REALLY know how to tune) and one pillow laying flat towards the ground pressed up to the front beater head is the only way to go...

alright, how does this work? ive always watched the engineers whenever at a studio but i cant figure out how the trigger lines up with all the kick or snare hits? is anything special needed besides the trigger module itself?

this may be arrogance talking, but i have found that beating the crap out of my drums is the only way to get the tone i want and need out of them

any input on the MX9000 mixer? i dont want to spend more that 1500 on a mixer...so any advice?

would you consider the 4040 or ksm27 better?
