Now i just wondered is it suppose to perform netter with the phantom power. I was told this was a decent starter mic.

I bought it for 39 with the phantom.

I recently purchased a BM-8000 condeser studio mic that came with phantom power. Now i have used with the phantom power box and without with my LG V-10. The mic seems to work either way. Is there a plus side to this? Or am i missing why i need the phantom power?

I just bought a bm8000 on amazon that came with a phantom power box pretty cheap. Maybe thats ideal? Sound is good till you are close. Closer makes it sound as if you have reverb on.(gain being too high) hope that helps!
