Any ideas on if it is possible to sync a Fostex 280 to Logic Pro (or any other recording software, abelton ect)? I was thinking that it would be cool to somehow sync the time counts together so that I could record 4 tracks, export channels 1-4 to logic seperately then record 4 more track onto...

Cool guys thanks for the suggestions. I just bought the Fostex 280 off ebay should get to me in a few weeks. Seller seems to have a lot of cassette recorders in really good condition if anyone else in interested. I'll let you all know how it works out! bluesens | eBay

The Tascam 414 Mkii has two xlr inputs, no phantom though.

A shit just realized 414 has XLR inputs which Fostex 280 doesn't. This changes everything
