    I find the sound from these programs quite substandard to the real thing. In my case I have use them because I can not afford the gear needed for recording. It is a good alternative if you are on a small budget. :)

    That really depends. I used to write melody first when I was younger. The problem I got then was to decide what the song was about.     Freddie Mercury had the same thing. He suffered a bit live because he could not do the top notes. But he never dared to have surgery. That has probably changed these days. I guess there are better methods.

    In my opinion they are songs without lyrics. But I understand what you mean. The word "song" implies that there are lyrics to sing.
