Need help assessing 3 singles from a multi-genre concept album

YES - only the Floyd fans will understand that song.

another one from the updated F1 Trilogy: "Bullet Train to Monaco"

GONZO - How would you rate the Iridium->Barber vs say an Axe FX? Have you compared different types of simualted IR's? The AxeFX is supposed to be awesome but curious if you've compared your stompbox sims to pedalboard IR sims?

Need help assessing 3 singles from a multi-genre concept album

Thanks Triple - Yeah, Pink At First Slap was an experiment in psychedelic stoner funk.

Need help assessing 3 singles from a multi-genre concept album

Full Frontal Lobotomy? Really? I think it's the LEAST accessible of the songs. Very interesting choice.

Need help assessing 3 singles from a multi-genre concept album

Looking for anyone heroic enough to skim through an unreleased remix of a concept album I recorded in my 20s. I need to know which 2-3 tracks stand out as the strongest, most accessible songs. Any other feedback is welcome as well.

another one from the updated F1 Trilogy: "Bullet Train to Monaco"

Bats Brew - the underground champs of the rock revival scene! Obviously very well mixed and performed. Love the lead tone, with that wah. How are you getting that tone? AxeFX? Real mic'd amp? What settings??? Are those real drums? How many are in your band? Who does your mixes and production?

    The World

That intro riff is solid! The interlude riff is great as well, that descending middle eastern sounding thing. Drums sound mostly pretty real with maybe only a SLIGHT "fake-iness" to an exacting ear. (I assume they are programmed?) EZDRummer? The vocal is pretty good overall and well mixed...

"My Iron Lung" - downtempo trip hop

Thanks HP - where are you noticing the strong automation?

"My Iron Lung" - downtempo trip hop

Hmmmmm....I think bringing down the drums would really haunt me. The trip-hop sound is all about the dominant drums!

"My Iron Lung" - downtempo trip hop

Hey folks - unusual genre for this forum I know, but this is a dark and downtempo track I've been working on.

    a "genre-free" instrumental

I think there is slightly too much overall low-end, perhaps in the intro bells. The guitar tone is smooth with nice delay and rich space. Tastefully played. How did you record it? Mic'd amp or an fx processor like a Kemper or Helix? Might add some reverb on the cymbals as they are perhaps too...

Will you meet me at Strawberry Fields (original) from Paulina Butterfly

Whimsical minimalist folk number. Mix is fairly decent overall. I may actually throw some reverb on this vocal to evoke a more vintage 60s style. The chord switchup at 1:45 is a nice surprise.

"Belarusian Brunette" - synth/rock instrumental with an industrial twist

Thanks Trichter, the lead is a strat played through a Hiwatt amp with a compressor, flanging and delay (bridge pickup). No talkbox actually - does it have a talkbox sound to it?

"Belarusian Brunette" - synth/rock instrumental with an industrial twist

Dark and cinematic blend of synthwave, rock, and industrial. What do you guys think?

    Ikeeeyaaa (The Nightmare Of...)

I'm down with the funky opening and the brickwall transition into the distorted rhythm guitars. The opening does have a RHCP feel, in fact reminds of their playful B side "F You". The snare sounds a bit lifeless (not terrible, just has that VST sheen to it) - easily fixed with some velocity...

    The immigrant song

Hell yeah dude. Guitars have lead balls and sound pretty great. Vocals are surprisingly strong too - props to taking on one of the hardest Robert Plant vocal numbers. I feel more vocal layers are necessary on that ahhhhhhahhh intro part. Verse vox could actually come up slightly. If I had to be...

Electro/funk/rock satire - "The New Zillennial Dream"

Hey Frank! Funk tone is a single coil strat on the funky mid/bridge pickup with fairly standard compression. I double tracked the guitar solo panned left and right to give it a huge sound that sums to mono.

Electro/funk/rock satire - "The New Zillennial Dream"

Ok awesome, thank you! Now I'm just curious if the vocals are too loud/forward?

Electro/funk/rock satire - "The New Zillennial Dream"

Mark, fantastic observation on the slow attack on the snare. I think I fixed it by adjusting the attack and compression controls - how does it sound now? Also fixed the tail on the guitar solo @ 2:34 - VERY good ears. Sound better now?

Electro/funk/rock satire - "The New Zillennial Dream"

I hope this track doesn't offend any Zillennials (Gen Z'ers) out there - it's all meant in good fun! Curious for thoughts on the mix and overall vibe. Thanks guys!
