This is true to an extent.....once you truly learn your speakers and if your room is properly treated you won't need to listen to them on anything else as reference....but until then listen to them on a few different setups....for example when my control room was untreated I would mix things and...
I have a digidesign 003 with a Black Lion Audio Signature Series mod and it stopped working due to firewire chip blowing on me, which also messed up the master clock in it...the repair through Black Lion cost me $275 total....the firewire was $165....
has anyone ever tried the DIYRE stuff, I'm thinking about getting a few of there products...but I have also thought about getting the Tonebeast Pre and also a WA76 from Warm Audio....I know I will get the WA76 but I'm not sure about getting the tone beast.....not sure if anyone has experience...
Sydney,
I know I'm late but you will more than likely have to do that quite often with your setting...I have issues with mine all the time where it seems to drop the driver then I have to power off the unit then power back on and go in settings and select it again....
Almost all Pro Tools plugins require an Ilok but there are a few ones out there.....you just need to do a search for free plugins that are RTAS or VST some of my favorite ones are freeware and they are made by a company called Blue Cat they are great and completely free.
Well I am planning on upgrading that within the next year or 2 because I want a board with 24 faders...so I don't want to buy one now and then in a year or 2 get a bigger one...I get a great sound now with what I have, It's just that I know with better converters I can get an even better one....lol

digi 002 console
focusrite voicemaster platinum
the add ons that I am considering are the
warm audio tb12 tonebeast

With your M Audio fast track you would need what's called Pro Tools M Powered....unless you spend the money on Pro Tools 9, I believe you can use any interface with that version of Pro Tools....
technically if you open one of your backups that protools auto creates then you can pull it up just to see what was wrong with it....depending on how far back your backup auto saves before rewriting.
Smokingsun,
I would have 2 agree with the rest of the ppl here. Your very first post made you seem like an uneducated 14 year old kid. Needless 2 say I understood exactly what you said & meant, but that's not the point. You are posting on a forum where ppl have various levels of education. So...
The first thing that made me consider that this was wrong was in the description where it says it will set the faders where they need 2 be....So he must know that my input gain is as loud or as soft as his so that I won't need 2 adjust the volume any...LMAO....
My mix sounded better than this...
The cut don't boost method is not always true. When I am dealing with vocals and if I feel like it needs some low end. Then I will add some lows. so basically u just need 2 do what your ear tells u. As long as u get a great sound when u are done, it doesn't matter how u get there. (To an extent...
