It's probably to do with window focus while you're 'paused' it thinks there's more to come but when you 'stop' it knows you're finished?, not sure I explained it well but I think that's it?. :o

Hi, I don't know the interface but in Reaper prefs does it make a difference if you change the input selection in the Last box to be the same as the first; Analog instead of ADAT?. So it would read First in; Analog 1, Last in; Analog 8. Also, have you clicked the ASIO Configuration box? And...

Yes you are right, If you double click on the midi part in Reaper the midi editor comes up & you can do whatever you like with the parts? :thumbs up:

Have you got snapping turned on (The magnet icon on the toolbar)?;) As well for the first point have you set auto backups? that'll be where the original bass track will be!.

You should only have Reaper plugs in that folder, A separate folder should be made somewhere usually called 'Steinberg or VST' & this folder should be included in the search box in prefs for Reaper to scan?
