    Tascam DX-2D DX-4D Calibration

My two DX-4D's don't need calibration the way my DBX 150'S and DBX 150X's Do. I just plug them in and hit record. Wished I would have had the DX-4D'S back in 1985 for my Tascam 48ob which still works great today. Jack

4 track bouncing (someone please explain)

I recorded really hot with a little high end boost then rolled some top back off in the 1970's before I got DBX NR. You and I were using 1/4 inch reel to reels vs. cassettes. IMHO vastly superior. Course the Beatles used 1 inch tape on the Telefunken and Studer 4-tracks. I have 4 analog...

4 track bouncing (someone please explain)

Rob--I agree with you about the simplicity of DAW'S today. I use Cubase 7.07 most of the time but I do like an analog front end. Either Waves Studer j-37 plugin or my Teac--Tascam tape machines. Being 68 years young I was using my Teac A-2340 4-track years before the portastudio came out and...

I know a man in LA whose very competent but about to retire plus I've learned about a man whose retiring in Springfield Oregon who was in the business for a long...

    Tascam 22-4 Fuse Lamp replacement

Hi folks--Anyone know the correct Fuse Lamp to use in a Tascam 22-4? I found this from an old link from Skywave https://www.jkllamps.com/incandescent/fuselamps Like usual the Tascam 22-4 manual doesn't show it. Had the same problem with Bulbs in my Tascam 48 manual. A quick call to Tascam parts...
