anyone know how to sustain a sample sound like a string or synth.it has got me pretty frustrated.im using cooledit then playing my samples in reason 1.0.thanx
well the guitar was just tuned down 2 steps(c).it defenatly sounds more melodic and fits my style really well.bending the bridge sharp when tunning helped allot.things are better and more in tune.thanx lopp and everyone that answered my questions.
Whats the best way to check if your neck is ok...
anything to do with my neck or intenation?the springs where removed to keep the bridge in balance.everything seems balanced there also old strings.pulling the whamy bar sharp did some help.any other suggestion before taking it to a tech.thanx
My low e string keeps going flat everytime its played open. If im tuning it'll go sharp then really flat. Its an ibanez rg series with 11 guage strings. The others as well seem allittle flat and its hard to get that perfect tunning.Another thing is the guitar is going to be tuned acouple of steps...
yeah i use cool edit pro.it just takes about 10 min for each track but it works great.just thought if there was considering my 4-track had it to block out background hiss..
How would i go direct.I have a Pandora..The amp i dont think has a line out or if it did itll sound terrible..The line 6 pod has made my music sound to digital in my opinion and hasn't had a natural effect on guitars. It sounds to perfect rather than a good amp that sounds natural.
I have a fender princeton chorus. It has 2 speakers not sure 12" or 10".Should i use 2 mics on each speaker or im ok with just one sm57.Will i be getting enough sound.I'm rarely gonna use stereo chorus.
Is normalizing to 100% the loudest u can go when your done with the mix..I extracted some cd's on to a wav file. One was louder than the other. Can u make it louder than 100%.
Coma my recordings sounded best when there where not serious and didn't have to do a 10 track cd..Its pretty tuff to manage all that.Try like 3 and once u got it u can't stop.Oh and mastering is just to polish up a recording before it gets distrubited.

Is it possible there could be nothing wrong with the eq when mastering..I'm using cool edit pro's noise reduction. Is there any easier way of getting rid of background hiss.
thanx i really appreciate it..My thoughts on equipment are now optional..It makes more sense without these complicated layouts..
I should be paying more attention to the mix rather then fixing it after.
Im trying to understand Graphic Equalization..I know the terms of what its used for.For example i recorded a classical guitar and im wondering how should i start eqing. It could use allittle bass cut and high lift.Should i eq that way everytime with other instruments. It sounds equalized to me.Its...
How do u get your waveform to look like a ruler(really flat).I'f i use heavy compression it'll do that but sound terrible.Im using Db-audioware for compression..Magneto by Steinberg.Cooledit pro eq and normalizing. Some mixes look flat some dont..Thanx for the links.
I recorded 3 songs different sessions and mastered each of them with different tastes..I normalized them to 100%.Problem is the 2nd song is a couple of decibels lower and so is the 3rd but they all sound nice and clear..Is it becuase every song was mastered seperately?Should i have everything...
