When recording in CW Home Studio I can't seem to monitor while recording. I only can only listen on playback. Even in punch mode, I can hear up to the punch point then audio drops while recording and the source audio comes back at the end punch point.

I just got a pair of ns10's and i was wondering if a samson servo 170 amp will work. The ns10's are rated as such:
8 ohms
Nominal: 60w
Peak:120w
the amp is
85 watt stereo amp rated at 4 ohms
is there a rule of thumb to follow when it comes to matching impedences.

Does anybody know where I might come across parts for a Teac X-7 2 track reel-to-reel. Both spindle have been broken out, so I assume I need the entire reel mechanism(don't know technical name) Anybody know.

What would you guys do. I'm setting my 1604 to my patchbay. Channels 1-8 will be normalled to the inputs of my digi001. would you suggest normalling the direct outs or use 4 subouts & 4 direct outs. what do you think

XLR cable into channel 1
1/4" into channel 1
the opposite end of each cable is open still.
now does it just depend on which cable is plugged in, does the board get confused...
if I have something plugged into both the mic&line inputs of the mackie, does it only matter what input i'm feeding signal into or is this whole idea not good practice.
