Wasn't getting the vibe that you did. Some similarity nonetheless.

"Paranoid Android" Radiohead cover - looking for a singer.

Overall, I think you got the job done. But, to my ears rhythm section is the problem. a) bass guitar is too upfront in the mix to my ears ( I realize it's not exactly buried on the record but if it's going to be that upfront then it needs work) b) bass sounds, to me, slightly out of tune at...

Here's another take on the crickets. I'd mess with bringing them up and down in the mix a couple or few times over the course of the track. Maybe up in the intro. Down in the verse. Up again in the guitar only part. Down again when the vocal comes back. Maybe end with crickets. But definitely...

Move a Few Select Note Events to Another Track

Thanks. I just had an intuitive flash and got lucky.

Move a Few Select Note Events to Another Track

Okay, I just figured it out. Not sure this is the way it's supposed to work, but if so, it's dumb. In order to successfully copy an event from one track's piano roll to another track's piano roll, the destination track cannot be empty or else the paste feature will be unavailable. But, as...

Move a Few Select Note Events to Another Track

Yeah, me too - in every other program I've ever used. That includes Cool Edit, Sonar, Cubase, Acid, Fruity Loops, Reaper. This is logic 9. Not sure what's going on but I'll work around it until I get an answer or I figure it out. I do appreciate you taking the time to respond.

Move a Few Select Note Events to Another Track

That's a no-brainer. The problem is that I am only able to paste into the same track from which I copied/cut the material. When I go to paste it in another track, the paste feature is unavailable. Grayed out.

Move a Few Select Note Events to Another Track

That's what I've been doing. It doesn't exactly make for the most efficient workflow but I guess I'll live with it for now. Anybody else?

Move a Few Select Note Events to Another Track

New to logic. Accustomed to accomplishing this in other programs using the piano roll and pen tool to select the notes I want, copying and then pasting into the piano roll of another track. When I attempt to do this in logic, the paste function in the piano roll of the destination track is...

Been living the same old. After an infraction against someone and a heated argument with another member, I realized I needed a break from this. Par for course, bro. I've been here ten years. Breaks are needed sometimes.

Guitar Tuning and Temperament Primer (revised)

A discussion of the physics of a vibrating string is a thoroughly academic discussion. Not that it isn't interesting (it is) or that there is anything wrong with that (there isn't), or that there aren't any practical applications (there are), but Slim is right to call the discussion academic...

Newb Student on a tight budget

I think your digital painting analogy was good. But, who says you are going to hear crazy good with a nice set of monitors? At least for me, it took years to figure out what sounds good and what doesn't sound good. Monitors didn't make a damn difference all that time. It was with random trial...
