    DP-004 Tascam Bass OL

As a follow up, the main problem turned out to be the Bass player trying to get all the bass sounds from his instrument and was toned way too low. I have never really noticed this until I started trying to record it. The more tone I got him to go up the more volume and the clearer the signal was...

Your technique - Line out or mic on your amplifier ? Which one you do ?

While I have been able to get a cleaner (no background noise) sound direct line, I have only been able to get that sound my Celestians make recording with mic. I like the airy feel it adds to the sound too. In real terms not up to "pro" standards, but I enjoy a good live sound more than perfect.

    Home Recording's Dirty Little Secret

I voted "I expected I could reasonably equal the quality of commercial recordings." Taken with the grain of salt. I suppose it depends on what level of commercial recording. I expect to clearly hear the song as it's played in person, but I also expect to hear my cat in the background on track...

    DP-004 Tascam Bass OL

Howdy, If there's an expert here who can post a link to a thread, i'm sure this has been asked before. I'm not seeing it on searches. Basically with the dp-004, Guitar no prob, vocals no prob, live recording room with whole band going (internal speakers A+B on "mic Low") no prob But tonight...
