Hi. I have a Tascam 38, as well as an M-30 and the DBX units. I've been able to record on tracks 1,2,4,5,7 and 8 with (mostly) no problems. On Track 3, I recorded a track, then then the track seemed to disappear on playback. On track 6, we couldn't get anything to record in the first place...

I need them for my Tascam 38. The manual says the DX-4D is compatible. Are those other units you mention compatible?

Hi, yes the lighter side of the tape is the side that is facing the recording heads. It doesn't appear that anything is sticking. The levels move up and the tape gets pushed against the heads
