I have a BR1180cd Digital home recording studio. I am just about done mixing and have tried Mastering, but I don't hear that "dramatic difference" that the Professionals who advertise their Mastering Studios claim they can give a c.d. Are these little $1000 units REALLY good enough? Lolly in Reno

I have just purchased my first Digital Home Recording Studio (a BR1180cd). I will only be recording PennyWhistles and Recorders with a mic, and using keyboard sounds for the backing tracks. I haven't bought any Mixing Monitor/Speakers yet. What is my best choice for this simple project? Thanks,Lolly

O.K., but WHY do you all suggest using the COMPUTER for recording. FOr a newbie, should't we be using something simple? This all sounds way too hard for this newbie...i.e. I'm a musician, not an electrician! Wouldn't a -------? be easier? lolly
