I have two good mics, a Sm7b and an MXL Genesis 2 tube mic. Room is treated pretty good-lots of bass traps throughout.

I want a good interface for recording vocals only. I need the preamps to be really good and stability/drivers to be really good. I know the drivers are A+ for the Babyface. How do the preamps compare to similar units? I need to know if the price is worth it for the RME if I'm doing vocals...

haha funny funny. But this kid took my acapella, and proccessed it in under 20 mins. He didnt use Logic. If someone can proccess it here, and tell me what plugs they used in Logic(the order/settings..etc..) then I'll gladly pay them for the time

Ok, so from what your saying-I could just plug the Golden Age Pre73 into my MP Preamp-plug the MB Preamp into my USB slot on my computer and be good to go? What converters do I need to buy to make this work?

You think SM7b will be ok even tho my voice has alot of sibilance? And is there not any good firewire or usb preamps in the 500-600 dollar range?
