Wrote a song about wishing I was in the 90s and started an indie rock band :P

So im taking a break for creating vocal based tracks and focusing on songwriting. I felt like I did better before started to try and sing. This track is my true style; heavy, electronic rock sounds... any tips on the mixing?

I like telling stories, you know? Am I compromising catchiness and hooks to grab people in? I repeat certain lines like these songs. But when I write songs its more like poems, what do you guys think?

I always like the sound of old school and lo fi music it sounds comforting and warm; with my new ep album thing im tryna recreate that feeling using different distortion compression and amp effects. what do you think is too much lofi and distortion, before it becomes unenjoyable?

I've been writing music for years but but never felt comfortable with my vocals. Now that im trying to sing and add vocals, i notice i was so used to making instrumental music, it was hard to get my vocals to fit in with my tracks... any advice?
