Not what you might be thinking.. This is about computer keyboards not MIDI keyboards.
My keyboard is on the blink, so I am ready to shop for a new one.
I've seen some fine looking keyboards out there, some that look like typewriters, some that look like they have wooden keys, I'm thinking...
They had an RD-2000 at my local music store, so I tried it out. Best keyboard expression in the place, the triple sensor action was great. You could replay a key only raising it a tiny bit up again.
Terrible expensive of course. The FP-90 is the same keybed, and relatively less expensive...
Wish me success with it fellows. Just ordered it the other day, due shortly after Christmas. Found a deal on a returned one.
Now I'll have my 88 key Keystation on the top rack, my mini-key 25 Worlde Panda on the left lower rack, and the ROLI Seaboard 25 middle lower rack to play. TEC Breath...
I'm setting up a return for a Yamaha FC7 expression pedal. Isn't compatible with my keyboard -- I knew it didn't work with most, but I read about a polarity reversing trick using two adapter cables that I thought would make it work.
Well it didn't. It's a pedal with a huge range of motion, but...
I'm mainly using orchestral instruments for classical and classicalish music, and a few pads that fit in.
I've used Ableton Lite, came free with my keyboard, but it got too crashy for me. I don't think they update that version of the software anymore.
Right now I'm using Reaper, but I'm not...
You know those old handheld audio recorders that only go on when there's sound to record?
I'm wondering if there's something like that for MIDI.
I sit around for hours and sometimes randomly play on my keyboard, sometimes do other things, it's right in front of my computer desk. So I'm...
I keep getting errors after I download Sonivox's Orchestral Strings.
The download completes, but if I unarc it with 7zip it gives me a header warning. Unarc it with Windows Explorer, no warnings, but the installer glitches before finishing, no doubt leaving a file corrupt somewhere.
They let...
I was wandering through the virtual instruments for sale the other day, and wandered into Vienna's 'Wagner Tuba'. Well. Have to pick that up. I remember some great sounding music with it.
$45 bucks I thought. Hey. This is good. Wait a minute.. Maybe it isn't $45 bucks, there's a upgrade/full...
Just ordered this for 50 bucks. I got it for the sliders and knobs. I really wanted slider/knob midi controls for the instruments. About the keys I couldn't care much less. I suppose I could use them for controls.
See, my Keystation-88 has no sliders or knobs whatsoever save a volume control. I...
Fellows if you were looking for an 88 key MIDI controller today, what would you get?
Right now I have a Keystation 88 -- I've got other fish to fry for a bit, but I will eventually get something better than that.
Can anyone recommend some good woodwind (flutes) and horns (trumpets) VSTs?
Hopefully which sound good but don't quite break the bank?
I just ordered a TEC MIDI breath controller the other day, hope it ships out soon, really looking forwards to trying it out -- and rather jumped the gun on...
Hello all, first post here.
I have a midi keyboard, 88 keys, that I normally use with my computer via USB.
Now, there are folks in my family who aren't technically enabled folks -- they aren't going to be able to turn on the computer and set up the program to play easily.
If it was just...
