Monk,I never used my 246's effect sends,I bought mine so I could play tapes from my old 424.I like the 246 way better and have recorded on it but did'nt use those. my guess is that if you pan 5 and 6 hard either way,the music will be assigned accordingly.5 odd= tracks 1 or 3 6 even = 2 or 4

Sure! it's easy to moan about the gear we don't have,but in most cases,it's preety amazing what we can do with the gear we have. I did a demo,We used the best mic we had for the vocals we had, a shure BG4.1,Probably similar to yours,it worked fine

I'm not sure,But a 4 song demo we did on a 488MK11 played perfectly on my tascam 238. My guess would be it would play fine.Hopefully someone else can add to this
