I destroyed a classic mic today!

I know your pro so you probably would not want it to look like you retrofitted it with an different case / housing. Looking how it was designed I know if all I wanted was to make it usable and not worried about the aesthetics I could Tom Fixin it with some PVC Pipe to make it usable for it's...

    ADK love?

I have an older 51st that I really like but then again, I have bad taste. I talked to the owner a few times years ago when he would actually be the one picking up the phone. His name is Larry Villella. I also met and rapped with him at NAMM once...cool cat. Bottom line is if you like how it...

Oh noes mic dropped in water

POIDH! Curious to hear what the results are when you test it. If you want to invest the time, I agree with the others that suggest taking it apart and cleaning it all up as best you can before you plug it in. BUT do you really want to mess with it? Is it worth your time? Even though it's not...

    Witch interface focuseite, m-audio, ssl

Of the 3 you mentioned The SSL is probably the "best" built but all 3 will get you what you want just fine. There are a ton of other choices. Just to confuse things and add more choices, for about $300 more you can own a Behringer XR18 and have a whole lot more inputs and outputs and routing...

Need help choosing a new digital piano for singer/songwriter daughter

I am a Yamaha fan for ease of use...sort of. They make their own keybeds as does Roland and Kawai. I like yamaha non weighted keybeds for synth stuff and their weighted are OK. The Arturia and the Komplete weighted 88's are Fatar weighted Keybeds ( great) and come with a ton of proprietary...

Gotta say this guy looks legit to just have someone else transfer them for you... Here's the google search...actually several companies that look very legit...Let's go hunt that asshat rip off down in Washington. Knock on his door and then kick him in the nuts...I hate thieves

The stereo you have will have nothing to do with helping you transfer the songs other than being able to listen to them either from the adat or your PC...Think of the stereo as your monitor system. You don't need a snake just the adat cable. You will need an interface of some sort ( at least...

    Awesome cheap Vocal Booth

Yeah I did the moving blanket vocal booth...Agree with the boxy weird sound but then again I only used it a few times and then went back to the regular room. For dead silence it is great but I sure had a tough time getting a good vocal out of it.

Cheap alternatives to Cloudlifters, and other in-line preamps

re watching I think I get it..... basically the preamp provides a stronger signal to the mixer meaning we don't have to turn the volume up as high on the mixer giving us more headroom. Mic is louder with less noise. Am I on the right track?

Cheap alternatives to Cloudlifters, and other in-line preamps

The XR18 has the Midas the 1202usb has the Xenyx both Behringer products IMO both do a fine job...but I'm a hack so my opinion is not all the well informed.

Cheap alternatives to Cloudlifters, and other in-line preamps

These both look similar to the one you show in the video..You didn't mention the brand name in the text

Cheap alternatives to Cloudlifters, and other in-line preamps

So I am curious as to what to expect in benefit using this as opposed to just going direct into my little Behringer mixer with "midas" preamps? Is it strictly for studio recording or is it something I would use live too?

A little part of Purple rain

Yeah they are an entry level simmons and yes he has never played e-drums before. Like I said we're old and he is not technologically adept...but the boy could play the drums back in the day...akin to mitch mitchell / buddy rich mix. We both knew the song from the radio and the movie ...for...
