My first track (ambient - electro - experimental), waiting your feedbacks !

Agreed on the intro. It's a keeper, but it could be drastically shortened. I do like the atmosphere of the recording when the music kicks in, though.

Fear of my own self - original rock

I genuinely like the song itself, but I was expecting a LOT more power when the rougher parts kicked in. Everything sounds so "laid back", esp for this style. Drums sound like a blacket is over them, but I love that "back of the room" sound. Great song, but lacking a lot of oooomph.

    Short Quasi Latin Jazz ditty

This is an old song I pulled out for an updated re-mix. I play everything (percussion programmed), but the "keys" are Lounge Lizard driven by my guitar using JamOrigin's Midi Guitar. Still getting used to simulating a keyboard style of playing, because the keys on the right near the end still...

New original, indie rock - "The Ballad of Fireflies"

Great song straight off, but yeah, lacks power. I don't mean limit and loud smash it to death, or even a little, but everything still could use some sort of punch to it. Song deserves it. Drums could definitely come up.

    I Do with BroKen_H

Only nit I have is more bass. Sounds rather shy in the background. Such a smooth-flowing song.

The one that got away (Cover version)

Sounds good overall to me, but maybe it could use a broad, small dip in the low mids area. sounds heavy around there. Your voice fits just fine to me. Almost thought I was listening to a smoother Neil Diamond.

Original song - "Just Gettin' By"

Sounds good overall to me, but, and I'm prob all alone here, I'm not getting a certain POW! from the vocal delivery. Just to me, it sounds like it's just sang, but wo ooomph! if that makes sense. Still, rocking as hell, though.

Skanky Tune... Too much bass/kick? Balanced?

yes, bass could me more distinct, but not so much louder imo. I like the boldness of the mix, just jumps right atcha and has character. The kick is prominent, but sounds a little "puffy" to me...as opposed to more solid.

Faint Aroma Pygmy Beat Extended meets Supercreep

Yet another for vocals up, but they're definite not "muffled," just not prominent enough. Identical thoughts on the drums as stated prev: kick can be heard, but hardly anything else. like the melody a lot.

    Original Instrumental Song - Monotonous

sounds good, but I feel the whole sound could use a bit more low end to it for added fullness and depth. As is, I don't get that "deeply seated" feeling as I listen.

Sad Lisa - Cat Steven's cover

Never heard this particular song before, but it reminds me more of a Gentle Giant tune (if you ever heard of them). If it had some renaissance sounding instruments, I would swear they wrote it. Regardless, I enjoyed the listen. I think you heard enough about the vocals.

I Wanna Do Somethin Weird to Ya

well...mission accomplished. I really have no particular nits. Just what I'd label a "fun" tune that lifts the mood.

    Sexy Sadie...Beatles cover.

another vote for the good vocals here. overall cool sound except, just for me as a personal thing, the drums as a whole sound a bit thinnish. But at least they're clear and can be heard. very nice rendition.

All The Young Dudes and FREEDOM HAS ITS PRICE covers

More bass, please! (or less guitars). Otherwise rockin as hell. Had you not said this was a cover, I'd have never known. Completely made it your own.

    Bach

I heard a bit much in the low mid area of the original records and totally agree with the comment about just a touch more "sparkle" wo it going to a grating trebly direction. I listened to the newer tune also and it's better sounding than both the originals. Totally right direction. very cool 7...

New Original - how's it sounding?

Frankly, it's the other way around. It seems you're missing his point and dwelling on semantics. I almost didn't even want to bother to comment after reading your responses. But for what it's worth, I thought the mix very hi-mid-dy esp the guitars, almost grating, but that may very well...

    First post Reggae

Well, BP, I tried to get as close as I could, not being a regular reggae songwriter. I guess you can say "reggae flavored," like your Steely example-(love that song btw). I certainly could be compared to worse! Thanks man!

    First post Reggae

As far as the forum talent, I've most definitely noticed, so your comment is very encouraging. Also, that makes me take any critical replies to heart and learn from it. So glad I joined. (Thanks for the head's up Kinda!) As far as a real drummer, I have a few tunes with some, and if...
