Hey Chris
Nice job man!
Your enthusiasm is quite refreshing.
I’ve been sorda burned out on the music industry for several years and can’t seem to get past it. It’s refreshing to see an honest effort by a real musician now and then.
I’ve been checking out your web-page and holy crap can your...
Well first of all as you can see my reply was not directed at you.
But as long as we’re on the subject, maybe if everybody was the little tugboat and buried their head in the sand like an ostridge everything would just be peachy.
OK now I'm getting bored.

Maybe you and DJL should start your own thread. I'm sure politics and cheap studio mics would be much more interesting than all this silly recording nonsense.
Or cheap politics and political Mics. (China) mmmmm intrusting play on words ahh.
Are you bored yet?

Ya...I have a career also. Unfortunately all related to a dieing industry. (music)
My city has gone through some devastating changes related to the music industry. Which in great part includes the recording industry.

I'm not trying to discourage you or anyone for that matter.
Because I've made my living solely from music for 25 years and I wouldn’t change a thing.
My point is...It's all-good till it aint.
You'll get tired of maintaining gear for free once the money is gone. Every time a cable is broken or a...
I've been trying to save kids from this disaster for the last two years but none of them listened. We now have several unemployed Certified Pro Tools Engineers in my area.
Kids are now starting to listen when they find out the burger flipper next to them just got out of Recording School.
Sad.

Been there, done it.
Every location will be affected differently but ultimately you'll also see a decline in customers.
If your area is still jumpin all I have to say is ride the wave man!
Don't invest much and make plans for change. We're giving you a peek into the future....Hope the best!

I gave a short quick answer early on in this thread but here’s the real problem’s with the recording industry.
Every December 25th Parents will buy a new computer to help Son/Daughter with School.
Now computers are getting to the point where they can pull off a half way decent recording without...
Record Rap
Or find another career.
There are more people employed in ONE Ford plant than all recording studios put together in this country.
Rap will be the only job that will be available after School.
So learn all you can and forget all you learn. Buy a copy of fruity loops and "Pro-Tools...

Hey darnold.
Guess I missed this post a few days ago.
Anyway.....this recording has mics on everything.
mids & bass???? Not sure what you're referring too.
Kick is not sampled just a little back in the mix.
C
I like these
I've not used any of the mics you listed for that application but
I recently started using the Oktava MK 319's on toms and just love the results.
Here's a short sample of the Oktava's in action.

Pawnshop Soap Opera's
They love to play mind games.
I had a friend offer to buy something from a pawnshop for $550.00 that was marked $900.00
I think it pissed the guy off or He just didn't like Him.Who Knows?
So I ask my friend if He would mind if I pursued it since I was in the market for...
I have both amps as well as the Marshall Cab. and can't say enough about either set-up.
When I was playing out I used the Bassman as clean raw power running to the Marshall with as effects board in front.
There is no better amp on the planet than a 1965 Fender Super Reverb. "That's all I got...
That's why I picked 4 & 6
They retail almost a thousand dollars more than all the other mics on the list. And they sound like they do.
It's true, you get what you pay for.
