Thanks for the replies guys!
What were your thoughts on the tone of the OneQ vs the Eureka?
Also, which did you find had the least amount of noise?
Apparently the OneQ has socketed INA217 opamps which could be upgraded to something like the THAT 1510/1512 chips?
I also noticed that Jim...
I have an NT1a and the SE 2200T (tube version of 2200a). I also found that the NT-1a can sound a little harsh and sibilant. I'm comparing it to my SE2200T, Neumann TLM102, AT4040, Oktava MK-319, AKG Solidtube and Kel HM2d.
Ah I see. I tried the stock version of the v67g. Interestingly I found the Bluebird to be the exact opposite. I would say it's the brightest mic I've ever tried but in a nasty way.
From those I would go for the TLM102 without a doubt. I've owned the others and the Bluebird and v67g were possibly the worst mics I've owned!
The Neumann is an extremely versatile mic and shines on a lot of sources. It's my favorite mic for acoustic guitar, trumpet, sax and certain vocals!
Thanks Jim,
Ok here are the mics :-

X2 - AUDIO TECHNICA 4040
Ok I've done some more clips with some of these mics with the vocalist I mainly work with. The clips are in two parts with quite an essy type start and a belting second half to cover the range of her voice.
The mics in these clips (not in order but correspond with the earlier clips) are the...
Hi,
I'm trying out a couple of new mics along with my current collection and would really appreciate some help.
I've posted some mic clips of the Neumann TLM102, CAD E100s, Audio Technica 4047, SE 2200T, Rode NT1a and Studio Projects B1.
The vocalist that did these clips is not an experienced...
Hi
I'm looking to get a new interface and the two that offer the features I need are the Saffire Pro 24 DSP and Motu Ultralite mkIII.
Does anyone know how the preamps and converters on these interfaces compare?
Actually the Eureka has 72db of gain! 52db input gain, 10db gain in the compressor and another extra 10db output gain! It is also an extremely quiet preamp!!
Thanks for the replies guys! I would have to totally disagree with the DMP3 vs Eureka comment. I personally love the Eureka and find mine quieter than the DMP3 I owned! The DMP3 always had a certain brittleness to it aswell.
Apparently swapping the socketed opamps in the Eureka also improves it...
