Tascam 388 Remote Questions/ Questions relating to the 388 and external mixer

keep in mind that you can't change that much when sending a stereo signal of the drums to the 388...when the bass and the guitars come the drumsound can get muddy or the bass of the drums gets burried in the mix because of the bass, it's better to have at least four tracks for the drums (bass, 2...

    Tascam 464 amp recording problem

my levels are pretty low, way under 0db...the link works again, you have to fill in the few letters on the right, higher part of the site and then wait... my guess it that the dbx also wants to eliminate the amp-hiss and so it sounds strange...but i've heard other dbx-porta e-guitar stuff which...

Who Is Better Jimi Hendrix or Jimmy Page

as my favorite recordings are from the 60s and 70s I didn't expect my recordings to sound like them when I started cuz I didn't have a reel to reel...I got better though. with portastudios, i know they aren't the best solution but many people make them worse than they are just because they don't...

    Nobody using minidisc I see

bought a yamaha md8 a few days ago...compared to my tascam 488 II cassette recorder it wins and sounds more brilliant.the biggest advantages are the bouncing using all 8 tracks and of course recording 8 tracks at once, a thing i missed with my 488 II.

    Favorite 4-track!!!!!!!!

464!!! I've had a 424 mkII and a 488 mkII but to me the 464 sounds the best, that could be due to better handling of the prior owner though. or does anybody know whether the specs of 464 are better than those of the tascam 424 II ??? i know that the 424 has better specs than the 488...
