The $1000 solution for everything audio!

hmmm... I think he is just angry that when I was 17 years old I spoke my mind about analogue gear and he argued that I was simply a fool. Only to turn around 3 years later and back track to something he argued against years earlier. Sonusman - "mark my words here friend, analog is a dying...

    E-16, just wondering

well, look at the size of the engines in cars in 1990 compared to those today. They are smaller and better in every respect today. that is not concrete enough of an example. I will go look for some spec sheets though.

    E-16, just wondering

Now muttley, do you have anywhere to prove that the E16 was a more solid machine then the G16? I used to have an E16 and sold it a while ago. I'm thinking about picking up a newer G16 assuming that progress would have made it a better machine. Maybe it is your personal opinion or maybe not...

    Screen Resolution

maybe you know this already, but check out Mozilla (http://www.mozilla.org). You can use tabbed browsing which you can then have a maximised browser window with a thin bar at the top with all page titles so you can easily flip back and forth. Another awesome feature is the popup and popunder...

    Anybody have a U195?

a pair of 414buls is a really good investment. Especially if you record drums. They are really really good on overheads. And just about anything else :D vocals, string instruments. I've never used them on any brass or woodwind.

    My new studio

And why is this a problem? 1000sq.ft is a pretty nice size for messing around if you also have pay clients 3 or 4 times a month to take care of rent.

    AKG 414, BULS or TL-II?

I love the AKG414 BULS, I always recommend it to people, but that is because one day I happened to sing through it and realised that I sounded "there". Its something that I neve found right with my recorded voice, with the AKG414 I could listen to myself. Other people also agreed that it was...

    condenser mics on a budget

My ideal budget mics Buy used microphones. There are about 3000 mics on eBay that someone thought would let them sound like artist x, y or z and now they are being sold at half price. To me these are the best deals out there. But the cheaper the mic the less of a deal you get.

OH YEA The IP address on that message was definitely mine at the time. They have a dialup connection but i used http://dslreports.com/whois to get the IP at the time and it was the same as they had on the popup. So that makes me curious as to how they got that info.

    what the HELL IS THIS!!!

Emeric - MSIM is definitely not installed. I installed only AIM for my parents a year ago so they can leave messages when I'm at school in the states. M.Brane - This is defeinitely not a "popup window". This is something different, its something built into windows so you wouldn't be able to...

Should I buy 1 used AKG C541B or a matched pair of Rode NT5's???

using some sources, "The C 414 EB was introduced in 1977 and has a totally metal construction. The early versions came with a brass capsule, the newer ones with the plastic type. It is said that with the older versions the capacitors are going bad with progressing time. If there is EB only, the...

    Solved grohl or disturbs drummer

Nothing against his playing, i've only heard that one radio song but if you gave me $1000 in my hand and i had to guess if the drums are triggered to keep it i would say they are triggered. Great drummers have been triggered for years, its just like every other movement in recording. People...
