    Baritones! [shouting]

You wouldn't want to give your standard 6 string up for one - it's really a specialty instrument. I have a James Hetfield Signature "Grynch" Baritone, made by ESP. 1 of only 240 in the world. It's really cool - but I don't use it for everything, obviously. A good addition to your 6 string...

I have a MusicMan Hd 210 combo. It's old but I've never replaced the speakers. How useless am I?

Buying a new house - building a studio

Doesn't it though? We are going to look at it this weekend. Would the diffusors and absorbers cut down on the sound throughout the house? I am mostly concerned about soundproofing the iso room, but if I can cut down on the sound coming from the open area (faux control room) that would rock...

Buying a new house - building a studio

So I should look into finding someone who has done it before and have them do it...maybe I should ask around at the local music stores.

Buying a new house - building a studio

I would like to be able to crank my Mesa and not disturb the wife and baby upstairs. A little bleed is OK. Is this stuff difficult to do? Should I hire a pro? I'm not a handy guy but I have relatives who are.

Buying a new house - building a studio

So I am planning on doing it right with our next house, which we are looking to buy pretty soon. I want to build an iso room big enough to fit a drum kit and sound proof it. Is the room within a room the way to go? I take it I'd want the iso room to have it's own ceiling. Any estimates on what...

    style option anxiety

It's a big problem for me. I love and am influenced by such vast genres that I find it hard to buckle down and focus on any 1 genre. Right now I have a country tune, metal tune, blues tune and AAA type tune in the works. It can be hard being eclectic.

Changing machine heads on a Les Paul - diy?

Thanks fellas. I think I'll give it a try. I'm getting these: http://www.instrumentalley.com/Grover_Rotomatic_102C_Tuning_Machines_p/102c.htm Now is there anything else I should know? How tight do I tighten those screws? Are certain heads meant for certain strings? I'm going to grab them...

Changing machine heads on a Les Paul - diy?

I haven't bought them yet. I don't want any re-drilling done. I'll ask what type of Grovers they have. I definitely want chrome.

Changing machine heads on a Les Paul - diy?

I am going to replace the cheesy green plastic machine heads on my Les Paul Studio with some chrome Grovers. Is this a job for a tech or is it simple enough for me to do it? Any special trick or certain technique that must be employed? If it's a job for a tech I'd rather not take the chance...
